Greetings,

The content’s not yet complete, but the frame of our final report began taking shape last week when we met with the graphic designer who will create it.
  • With warm thanks to all the designers who responded to our request for proposals, we’re pleased to announce that Oscar Gibson from C.E.S. Graphic Media will design the printed version of our final report, graphics for the multimedia version, and related items.
  • Volunteer of the Week: Ashely Gravely, a student at Bennett College for Women who has recently joined us and is spending 10 hours a week on research tasks such as transcribing and summarizing statements. Thanks, Ashely!
  • This week's progress indicator: Invitations to speak about this first U.S. truth commission keep coming. Next month, staff and one Commissioner will travel to the University of Mississippi to take part in "Southern Exposure: A Regional Summit on Racial Violence and Reconciliation."
