Greetings,

While all this Public Hearings business is new to us, it's old hat to Lisa Magarrell, our consultant from the International Center for Transitional Justice. It was comforting and enlightening to have her visit last week to share some of her own and her organization's experience with TRCs.
  • Mark your calendars and set your VCRs: “TRC Talk” premieres tomorrow (Wednesday) at 6:30 p.m. on GCTV (Cable 8). The show, featuring an interview with Commission Co-Chair Cynthia Brown, will rebroadcast at 10:30 a.m. Saturday and next week.
  • This week's progress indicator: “Ubuntu Weekly” recipients now number more than 475.
  • Volunteer of the Week: Jonathan Jenkins, an intern from Vanderbilt University Law School, who spent hours upon hours in the Wilson Library at UNC-Chapel Hill poring over court documents from the three trials. Thanks, Jonathan!
